    EXCELLENT EASTER WEATHER CONDITIONS DREW LARGE CROWDS TO ROTTNEST ISLAND Always a popular holiday resort during the summer months, Rottnest Island, no doubt owing to the exceptionally fine weather prevailing, was a firm favorite with a large section of young people this Easter. It is estimated that, despite the many other counter attractions, a record crowd visited the island.   3. FAMOUS AUSTRALIAN AIRMEN MEET WITH DISASTER IN THE NORTH

    is attempting a non-stop flight from Sydney to Wyndham, the first stage of the intended journey to England, Messrs. Kingsford Smith, Ulm, Mcwilliams and Litchfield, in the Southern Cross, were forced down in Northern Australia last Sunday, and throughout the week searches for them by W.A.
