On the steps of the Bauk of Thrift, North-terrace, on Monday afternoon, a cheque for £1,000, collected for the Children's Patriotic Fund, was handed to Genera. Pau for the French Red Cross. The pupils of four city schools were present, and those from two suburban, schools—Thcbarton and East Adelaide—which have been so remarkably active in raising money for patriotic purposes, made the actual presentation.
