1) correspondence with Marina Voyskun editor at Boosey's New York; typeset version of that day with some edits still-after a discussion with Kees Boesma, one of the players in the ensemble.

N. Butterflying, 2004-2005 (File) - Box 3

This piece was derived from LOTUS from the opening ceremony of Rugby World Cup in 2003. Lyn Williams commissioned EKC to write a piece for EKC choir (very young children) for their 15th anniversary concert in Sept 2004 at the Angel Place. Chris Latham wrote the text for it; vocal score and orchestral draft typeset with edits recieved from Peggy; handwritten minicopy (piano part and vocals typeset); VLN and piano version arranged in Barossa in oct. 2004

P. 'My City of Sydney' (File) - Box 4

A 15 min. doco style film that is running at the Museum of Sydney on a loop, telling 7 stories of people connected to a particular part of Sydney, architecture or historic relevance. Made by Kathryn Miliss, EKC started work on this beg. Sept., director and E. met each Sunday 3 times, between which E kept writing different things. The recording eventually took place at Trackdown Soundscoring Stage and was score for Alto Sax, piano and string trio. Scott Saunders did the music production.

Contains: 'stoccata' for tuba and orchestra materials, lists are not as good as I would wish. One envelope is sketches and the other has original manuscript and lots of typeset drafts. There are dates on the scores mostly. Stoccata was premiered in Adelaide the same night as Amalgamate in Melbourne. 17th March 2005.

However, the printing must have 'stuffed up:' and a lot of pitches are not really written on the right lines, impossible for reading and checking, some of it makes no sense. After trying to get through, EKC gave up.

A fax to Marina (B&H editor) with edits for 'Skeletons in the Cupboard', for performance in London, by Lontano. EKC sent the edits from Hobart, during the recording week of the TSO CD. Aug. 2004

C. 'For Alex' 6 very easy vln/pno pieces. Jan-April 04 (File) - Box 5

These are intermediate typesets, with edits, helped by Robyn Sarazinsky, Sanya's (Alex's) vln teacher. These pieces were Robyn's idea-Alex was very ill and she said he needed extremely simple pieces to get back into playing, long held notes, mostly open strings.

D. 'Bombshells', 2001 (File) - Box 5

music for the one woman show written by Joanna Murray-Smith for Caroline O'Connor. the show was directed by Simon Phillips at the Melbourne Theatre Company in Nov-Dec. 2001. Original sketch for 'O'Shaugnessy'. this is a copy, as the original was given to Caroline O'Connor. Incidental music original piano score. original sketches 2001. ORIGINAL handwritten 3 songs, voice and piano, the structure was changed a little bit later on, during rehearsals, as well as some of the melody. 3 songs are: "I've got something to say", "Please, don't applaud me", "in the travelling mood". Correspondence, also some sketches of the UNUSED song material.

E) Riverskaters, 2005 (File) - Box 5

copy of the handwritten piano score that was sent to Peggy for working. Also typeset score with some edits in blue. Not the final score.

F) 'Homage to the miners', 2005 (File) - Box 5

Original manuscript written for piano solo in Essen, Germany in July-August 2005, for the staged installation by Christian Boltanski at the coal mining industrial site, converted into a huge archaic art performance space. Typeset with a couple of mistakes.

G) Psalm 130, 2005 (File) - Box 5

The cantor of the jewish congregation asked EKC to write music to the psalm that is usually recited in a half sung manner at Yom Kippur service. EKC wrote it in Maydena in September 05. Written for 4 standard voices, it was performed on 12th Oct 2005. First sketches (2 A3 pages), the text that EKC used and the original manuscript. Being a little bit edited in October 2005.

H) MATER for 6 voices and optional percussion (for Song Company in 2000), 2000 (File) - Box 5

Original manuscript 3. dec. 2000. Also a copy of a messier manuscript from which the premiere was sung by Song Company.

Book adaptation for stage by Stephen Edwards for Brisbane Festival, co-production with Derby Playhouse. EKC wrote more than 100 pages of score for 5 instruments. Johnno programme from the season in Brisbane 14th July - 5th Aug 2006. Correspondence, sketches; working drafts; score drafts.

A piece for 4 french horns (12 min. long) for Berlin Philharmonic Horn section for performance with dance in December 2006. Sketches; early drafts; typeset drafts with edits etc.

Piece in 6 mvmts for Australian String Quartet, for their tour in APRIL 2007. Original title was To Anna Magdalena and her Notebook. Different stages of different movements. Was asked to write a piece for Present Music concert in April 2007 in Milwaukee in USA.
