Item Descriptions
Series 1. Papers relating to Sir Edward Ford, 1934-72
This series contains a typescript copy of a letter-diary of Sir Edward Ford and printed reports of medical and historical articles by Ford. The letter-diary was written to Bill Cantwell while Ford was overseas, 6 August 1946 - 24 September 1947, studying for a Diploma in Public Health at London University. The letters refer to his studies; visits to the housing estates, a fever hospital, the Royal Society for Tropical Medicine and other institutions; but mostly deal with his travels in Britain, cultural events and his relationship with Cantwell.
