Biographical / Historical

Mrs Sheila Bourner (nee Carpenter) submitted three entries into the Historical Association's Australian Bicentenary Competition, 'Australia's Past In Front Of You'. They were based on her researches into her family history, which had uncovered a great-great grandfather, Charles Carperter (1801-1887), who had been transported in 1832, and also involved two aunts who had migrated to Australia in the 1920's. Mrs Bourner generously allowed the AJCP to film her discoveries regarding Charles Carpenter (1801-1887) and a series of letters from her aunts and cousins to relations in England.
