Contains correspondence of successive heads of the Coelenterata Section and covers the acquisition, loan and exchange of specimens, enquiries from both professional and amateur zoologists, and coelenterate research. Both Totton and Rees kept individual files for the chief correspondents with a chronological or alphabetical sequence for the remainder.
- Biography/History:

Formally set up in 1913 with the split of the old Invertebrate Section. Section heads were Arthur Knyvett Totton (1914-1954) and William James Rees (1955-1967). Ernest White worked as an assistant from 1918-1964.
