Series 6. Letterbooks of Sir William Jervois, 1885 - 1897

Two books containing rough copies of letters mainly relating to the Jervois properties at Wellington, South Australia. They refer to the appointment of agents, acquisition of freehold, wool and stock sales, irrigation, taxation and other matters. The principal recipients were Arthur Jervois (Wellington), John Jervois, W.J. Brook (Adelaide), T. Young.

Series 9. Journal of John Jervois, 24 January 1881 - 22 March 1881

Journal in two volumes of John Jervois of a voyage from Adelaide to Auckland and of his travels in New Zealand. It describes in some detail the countryside and towns and encounters with people, including Sir Arthur Gordon. Among the places visited were Auckland, Lake Tarawera, Hokitika, Wellington and Christchurch.
