Related Materials
The Library's collections contain a large number of works by Sitsky that reflect his varied activities as a writer, editor, composer and collector. These works are all described on the Library's online catalogue.
Additional Sitsky correspondence appears in the papers of Rex Hobcroft (MS 8019), James Penberthy (MS 9748) and Patrick Thomas (MS 8341), and a number of his original scores are in the records of the Australian Musical Association (MS 7996).
Sitsky has also been the subject of an oral history interview at the Library, and biographical information is available via the Newspaper and Microform Reading Room and the Ozlife online database.
Arrangement
The collection has largely been left in the order imposed by Sitsky, with each successive consignment arranged into correspondence and music, and added to the collection as a separate addition. The collection has been artificially separated in the Guide into two streams, i.e. Folios (largely music manuscripts) and Boxes (largely correspondence). This occasionally results in a confused numbering of items (such as item numbers in the 1983 addition alternating between Box 26 and Folios 12-28).
Biographical Note
