The National Library has 4 different copies of the Melbourne deed for 500,000 acres and we have one copy of The Geelong deed for 100,000 acres
The wording is the same for each of the Melbourne deeds although the format is different.

Copy number 1 of the Melbourne deed (Item)

1 leaf divided into 2 parts; old 'photocopy' on cardboard.
This is possibly a photographic copy of one of the 3 original Melbourne deeds which was transcribed in a letter from John Batman to Lieut. Governor Arthur (see P23/3/481 f.9A).
Copy number 2 of the Melbourne deed (Item)
31 cm x 68 cm
2 leaves (the second leaf is blank except for the numbers 4612 and 4613); 2 copies on yellow paper (2 photocopies also held) in roll received 1969, from Victoria.
Relation to original uncertain.
Copy number 3 of The Melbourne deed (Item)
25 cm x 35 cm (each leaf).
2 leaves; photocopies.
Dated 13 November 1846, Hobart, and signed by 2 clerks of Mr Pitcairn.
This is a photocopy (cut short) of what Rev. Wells offered the National Library in October 1969 for $200 (see P23/3/481). Rev. Wells' copy was 2 pages and measured 32 cm x 41 cm.
