Introduction
Scope and Contents
Original instalment (MS 8916) comprises copies of press reports, media releases and speeches about Palestine, the Palestine Liberation Organisation, and the activities of its representative in Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific. The collection also includes photographs, a copy of The Jerusalem question, edited by Ali Kazak (1997), a curriculum vitae of Kazak and other papers (5 boxes).
The Acc06.035 instalment includes press reports, media releases, speeches and a catalogue (2005), mostly written by Kazak relating to Palestine, including some material in Arabic (1 folder).
The Acc08.171 instalment comprises a small number of news clippings of articles by Kazak (1 folder).
The Acc10.054 instalment comprises copies of correspondence and newspaper articles relating to the complexities of the Israeli-Palestinian divide. It includes Kazak's letters to newspapers and broadcasters concerning issues of bias, as well as electronic images of childhood and in his role of diplomat. The CD also contains images of newspaper articles in foreign press relating to Kazak (images 145-171) (1 folder + 1 digital carrier).
The Acc12.038 instalment contains a volume produced by the Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies (in Arabic), and an envelope of photocopies of articles and correspondence, dealing with broad ranging issues of interest to Palestinians, Israelis and their respective relationships with Australia. Included in the papers, an opinion piece by Kazak appearing in The Sydney morning herald (4 Oct. 2011) concerning Australia voting for Palestine's membership of the UN (1 folder + 1 digital carrier).

This conignment comprises photocopies of correspondence to the Melbourne Age and the Sydney Morning Herald by Ali Kazak as Director of the Palestine Information Office and as Former Ambassador of Palestine in Australia. Correspondence deals with issues of pro-Israeli bias in the media, the Oslo Accord and location of a potential Palestinian capital. Extracts are dated. This material dates from 1986-2008.
