Scope and Contents
MS 10083 comprises papers relating to Innes Williams' career as a dancer with the Bodenwieser Ballet Company. The collection includes two notebooks containing handwritten dance notes; six scrapbooks containing programs, photographs and cuttings, mainly relating to performances by the Bodenwieser Ballet Company; programs for a "Central European Dance Recital by Innes Murdoch and Irina Zahara", 1940; brochures for a "Tribute to Gertrud Bodenwieser", held at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music in 1960; and correspondence between Williams and June Layson relating to a proposed book about Bodenwieser (1992). There is a small amount of biographical information about Coralie Hinkley and Bettina Vernon-Warren, who were also dancers with the Bodenwieser Ballet Company (1 box).
The MS Acc09.042 instalment includes letters to Innes Williams from Gertrud Bodenwieser, and Rosemary Dobson, who was at Frensham School with Williams (1 folder).
