Introduction

Scope and Contents

This collection includes material about Australian banknotes and coinage, but not specimens of them. Includes material relating to the introduction of decimal currency in Australia, featuring the "Dollar Bill" character, as well as humorous, satirical or politically themed "funny money" or "fake" banknotes.

The list is based on imperfect holdings and is updated over time as gaps in the Library's holdings are filled.
