Introduction

Scope and Contents

The Skylark Theatre Company was established in 1984 by Marie-Martine Ferrari and Shelley McDonald in Canberra. It gained national and international recognition for its innovative presentation of puppetry and visual-based theatre. Among the Company's productions were: The inside story, Yodi and the yabbi, Salty Seagull takes off, The winter tree, and Hip hip hippo. Two films were produced by the Company, of The inside story and Tiny Pod and the silverwings, in collaboration with Film Australia.

Scope and Contents

Material in the Australian performing arts programs and ephemera (PROMPT) collection consists of programs and related items for Australian performing arts organisations, Australian artists performing overseas, professional productions performed in Australia (including those featuring overseas performers) and overseas performances of Australian plays, music, etc.
