The 46 diaries kept by Glynn began on 4 September 1880 and finish on 21 December 1927. Although there are not daily entries, the diaries provide a detailed picture of Glynn's thoughts, ideas and political, religious and literary interests. He often commented on contemporary events, both in Australia and overseas. The diaries tend to be more detailed in the earlier years.
