The Library is proud to announce the appointment of Senator Dr Jess Walsh to the Council, who joined us on 25 March 2024 for a three-year term.
Senator Walsh was elected as a Senator for Victoria in 2019 after a distinguished career as a researcher, campaigner, and union leader. She brings a wealth of valuable experience to the National Library Council to help us enhance learning, knowledge creation, enjoyment and understanding of Australian life and society by providing access to a national collection of library material.
The Library is grateful to have Senator Walsh onboard. You can read more about her experience here.
