Improve access to our collections
Philanthropic support is helping the Library to improve access to our collections – in particular to the collections of the National Union of Australian University Students (NUAUS) and Australian Union of Students (AUS).
The NUAUS/AUS archive at the National Library is an enormous repository of almost 1,000 boxes of material.
It contains insights into the student politics of earlier eras, but also important perspectives on social and political issues in Australia and overseas.
The archive is also of enormous value in recording the early careers of student politicians who would go on to become Australian luminaries.
The project to improve accessibility to this significant archive is entirely funded by philanthropic support, and has made significant progress in improving the archive's finding aid.
This project to improve accessibility is also accompanied by an oral history project, funded by the Library.
To support this project, you can give online now, or, if you would prefer to donate by bank transfer or other means, please contact philanthropy@nla.gov.au.
Thank you for supporting your National Library.
