About Dr Guy Hansen
Dr Guy Hansen is Director of Exhibitions at the National Library of Australia. Guy studied history at Sydney University and the University of Technology, Sydney. He has curated numerous exhibitions on a wide range of topics including political history, sport, cartooning and national symbols. He is the co-curator of Grit & Gold: Tales From a Sporting Nation alongside other Library staff.
About Nick Richardson
Nick was born in Tasmania but has spent most of his working life on the big island. He started his journalism at The Examiner in Launceston, worked on newspapers in England and had a range of reporting roles at The (Melbourne) Herald, The Australian and The Bulletin. He later became an associate editor of The Herald Sun, then Group News Editor of Leader Community Newspapers and later News Corps’ national editorial training manager. He has taught journalism at RMIT University, Monash University and LaTrobe University, where he is adjunct professor of journalism. Nick has a PhD in history from the University of Melbourne. He has been a Margaret George Fellow at the National Archives of Australia and a Fellow at Australian Prime Ministers’ Centre at the Museum of Australian Democracy. He lives in Melbourne.
About Melanie Dinjaski
Melanie Dinjaski is an experienced sports journalist at the Canberra Times with a genuine love of all sports. She's covered every code from NRL to NFL, and has experience in print, digital, podcasting, TV and video journalism, having spent time working in newsrooms at Nine, Fox Sports and Seven before moving to the capital. Melanie aims to bring Canberrans all the sports news they need to know.
