In the adjacent list and other lists in this guide, the names of some ships are duplicated for the same voyage. These are given when the pass number records for those ships are split over two microfilm reels. In such cases both reels may need to be requested to identify an emigrant on a particular ship or voyage.
Where a roman numeral follows the name of a ship, this indicates that the ship undertook multiple voyages with each number identifying a separate voyage. This may be important if the name of the ship on which an emigrant travelled is known but not the exact date.
